Development of the analog safety I&C system

NCSS Programme

Since 2010, TechnicAtome and its subsidiary ARCYS have been developing the analog safety I&C system for the Hinkley Point C EPR for FRAMATOME.

Objectives

TechnicAtome intervenes on the back-up I&S system, intended to compensate for any failure of the 2 main EPR control and protection I&S systems. This 3rd system has to use a different technology: in this case an analog technology developed by TechnicAtome and its subsidiary ARCYS.

Main services

  • Design and engineering of 152 safety I&C cabinets
  • Manufacture, assembly and cabling, with ARCYS, of over 12,000 analog cards.

  • 2018 : Qualification of the UNICORN platform
  • 2020 : NCSS prototype qualification
  • 2022 : Reception of the I&C cabinets and tests
